I never knew it was possible for shows to get better after the second episode. To me it feels like the first episode was simply a “look, this is what it’s about, remember that” while the second episode really showed what the series is capable.
Animation is still top-notch, perhaps even better than the first episode. Oh and the OP and ED are growing on me, they’re pretty catchy.
rdrake was right. Lenalee > Orihime (of Bleach). (Pst, I don’t think you need to hurt anyone, she showed up well before episode 3 ;) ).
They did amp up the comedy a notch in this episode. Now it truly feels like Bleach. Bear in mind, this was actual good comedy, compared to the poorly executed scenes that were there in the first episode (apparently, these are there in the manga too). The gatekeeper at the Society deserves a mention here. He reminds me of someone/thing I’ve seen before but can’t simply put my finger on right now. And I keep thinking that say ‘Panda’ when someone says ‘Kanda’. Oh and Komui reminds me of some sort of cross between Ishida (Bleach) and Mayama (Hachikuro) (which is a good thing btw).
One thing that I hope gets explained in later episodes is the whole deal with Allen’s eye glowing red. And the pentacle on his forehead. My theory is that since Komui did mention that Allen had a parasitic-type Anti Akuma Weapon, there is some sort of Akuma embedded in him. The theory’s a bit shaky though, as embedding an Akuma would involve a deceased spirit of sorts… (manga readers – don’t spoil it for me!)

Only problem i have with this anime is that it feels fake. It’s like they don’t know what they’re doing i dunno. I feel like a bunch of popular shounen series have influenced this in many ways although i wouldn’t be able to tell you which cuz i’m a noob.
Well, maybe I’m a noob too, but I feel the exact opposite.
