I decided to actually blog episode 2’s of all the ‘first impression’ series I’ve done. Who knows, rankings may change. Spoilers may follow.

However, in the case of Pumpkin Scissors, nothing really changed in terms of quality in the second episode. Sure, animation dropped a bit, but that was only in the beginning sequences and this picked up in the latter half of the show.

Story seems to be going steady, though I can see the possibility of this turning into an ‘enemy-of-the-week’ type show. Also, character development seems to be, rather fortunately, the focus of this show. Now, as long as they don’t randomly put a huge mecha into the show (ala Utawarerumono), I think this has the potential of having a rather good storyline.

Oh and thank god, GONZO doesn’t look like they’ll muck this up anytime soon. Please don’t let that turn out to be wishful thinking. Please let this be another Last Exile.

Rankings (no change yet):
- Tokimeki Memorial
- Pumpkin Scissors
- Asatte no Houkou
- D.Grayman
- Yoake mae yori ruriiro na – Crescent Love -
- Negima?!

Pumpkin Scissors…I don’t know why but the series this season have names that suck. I’ve been watching anime for a while and these titles are weird even for anime “D.Gray-Man” and “Pumpkin Scissors”? What the hell, if it wasn’t for blog reviews I’d never give them a second look. Personal bias I guess.
Anyway, I think I’ll give PS a try, if only because you have a screen cap with a lot of maids in it :p
Haha, as good a reason as any I guess.
Neither Death Note nor Kanon are up there?
They would be…if I was blogging ‘em ;)
Great! The links to the PS ep2 torrents are down or something. I’ll try tomorrow…
But yeah, thus far it looks like GONZO is keeping up the good work. I never saw the serieses that spawned GONZO bashers, but please let this not become one.
